Program disclaimer and your rights
Information to help you make an informed choice.

About this information
BooST is a City of Boroondara program managed by HP Energy Pty Ltd. This questionnaire provides an initial starting point from the answers you supply. It is not a site inspection, final system design, quotation, planning decision or confirmation of subsidy eligibility.
Your home and recommendation
Tell us what you know and choose “I’m not sure” where appropriate. Recommendations remain subject to checking the property, existing equipment, energy needs, ownership permissions, planning controls and installation requirements. A heritage-map search is a useful starting point; the current controls and proposed work must still be verified.
Funding and availability
An enquiry does not reserve funding, confirm a rebate or commit you to purchase. Support depends on the program rules, available funding and Council’s eligibility check. Repeat participation is not eligible for another subsidy. A new owner can be eligible despite a previous owner’s subsidy at the same property. The subsidy is available only to eligible homeowners; renters can seek advice. Owner consent and required approvals must be in place before work proceeds. BooST covers eligible costs excluding GST and does not cover mandatory scheme co-payments. Confirm eligibility, application timing, your contribution and other incentives before accepting a quote or starting work.
Products, providers and choice
A benchmark product is a starting recommendation, subject to suitability and availability. You can ask questions, discuss alternatives and decline a quote. The quotation must identify the contracting supplier, installation scope, price, payment terms, warranties and aftercare arrangements. HP Energy provides three product quotes, issues your invoice and handles warranty support. You can choose a suitable participating installer if you have a preference; otherwise HP Energy assigns one. Qualified participating contractors carry out installation. Relevant commercial relationships must be disclosed before you decide. Council’s program role does not itself make Council the equipment seller or installer.
Information and outcomes
Savings, payback, performance and backup capability depend on the property, system design, installation, tariffs and use. The questionnaire does not promise a particular result. Council and HP Energy remain responsible for their own obligations under applicable law; this notice does not excuse misleading statements, negligence or a failure to meet those obligations. External information may change and should be checked with its publisher.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in this website or the BooST enquiry process excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, remedy or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law. Manufacturer warranties are additional to those rights. You are not required to indemnify Council or HP Energy, release them from liability, or waive your consumer rights to make an enquiry.
Questions and complaints
Contact HP Energy on 1300 137 760 about quotes, installation, warranty support or a program concern. This does not limit your right to seek independent advice or use Consumer Affairs Victoria, a competent tribunal or a court. A website enquiry is not an emergency repair service.
Applicable law
Victorian law and applicable Commonwealth law govern these website terms. Victorian courts and tribunals have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory law and your right to use another legally available forum.
