Draught proofing

Explore practical ways to address draughts while maintaining necessary ventilation.

Why consider this upgrade?

  • Identify draughts around doors, windows and other gaps.
  • Improve comfort by sealing unwanted gaps.
  • Coordinate energy upgrades with insulation and appliance safety.

What needs checking?

  • Where unwanted draughts occur.
  • Existing ventilation and any combustion appliances.
  • Door and window condition and suitable treatments.
An assessor must distinguish unwanted draughts from ventilation that needs to remain open.

BooST support

Eligible households can receive up to $2,000 towards approved home energy upgrades, after other government rebates and subsidies. GST and any mandatory scheme co-payment are not covered. The maximum is shared across approved categories; any unused amount is forfeited.

Products and brands

HP Energy provides three product quotes to help you compare suitable options. The team will check the work required and installer availability. Choose “I know what I want” in the questionnaire to record a preferred brand or model; availability, suitability and subsidy eligibility will be checked for your circumstances.
